It’s been a while since I’ve whipped up a build, and I’m coming to realize it’s not the building that’s so difficult, it’s the darned decorating!

My friend Spladoum asked me to build her a house based on a real-life house plan.

The house is described as a:

3359 square feet country style 4 bedroom, 3 bath with 2 garage stalls […] . It also combines elements from the southern, southern styles.

The floor plan features walk-in closet (sic), unfinished/future space, upstairs master bdrm, 2 master suites, walk-in pantry/cabinet pantry, main floor master bed & bath, side-entry garage, loft / balcony, family room/keeping room, suited for corner lot, kitchen island, storage area, nook/breakfast area/dining, covered front porch.

Whew! It’s a really big house, terrific for a rather large family.  In sim terms, there’s actually more than enough room for 8, because there’s plenty of extra space that’s highly underutilized.

Anyway, in my rendition, there is space above the garage which is accessible only from the ground-floor master suite, which makes it perfect for a private studio. However, there are several other spaces that could become other spare or fun spaces simply by adding a door in an appropriate place.

There are only 4 bits of CC in this house, and I deliberately left all the walls and floors the same so they could be reCASt by downloaders any way they wanted; I was asked to only worry about the shell of the house, really, and that’s just what I did. The CC is:

That’s it! It’s located on a 30×30 lot, which doesn’t leave a lot of room in the side or back yards; however, this means it can be placed on any size lot, from 30×30 to 64×64. It’ll be just a touch off center toward the right.

Take a look at the slideshow, and enjoy. If you want it, let me know in the comments below.
